Projects

The Interporto Toscano A. Vespucci is implementing a number of important projects to gradually create a logistics area that is self sustaining with regard to energy by incorporating policies that are of benefit to energy production and environmental protection.
These projects involve the construction of structures that use renewable energy sources (solar and wind power). First and foremost, is the large refrigeration Terminal for the preservation and handling of goods in dedicated cells that are entirely covered in solar panels.
The roof has a photovoltaic array of over 24,000m2 capable of producing 2.5-3 MWP more than the current energy requirements of the freight village’s buildings.
